He is fighting internally with other people 24/7 who want to do one thing while he wants to do another so I'm not sure if everything that he is doing is of his own sound mind. I'm hoping for a reason.

Sid is a backstabbing, traitorous witch. Can't basically raised him and this is how he repays him because he could get PROMOTED!
That is despicable even for a demon, what is wrong with him!? Some people have no sense of loyalty, and he should just let Jin-Yeong go. He doesn't want to be there with him, Sid ruined his life and didn't allow him to just die. He doesn't deserve this.
