I think you're skipping a looooot of details here. She DID hit on him while she was drunk. She found him, called him handsome and asked if he was Duke Ingrid. Seeing that she was drunk and not recognizing him, he badmouthed himself, saying he killed his own family and that she should run away before she gets killed too. He expected her to run off but instead she slapped him and told him he was a rude person for badmouthing the Duke. He never had anyone on his side before, so to see a stranger stand up for him was a shocker. Then he asked her if he was the duke, what would she say to him? His heart melted when she said it wasn't his fault.
He may have brought her back to his mansion, but he wasn't planning on doing anything until she confessed. She said she liked him and always wanted to know what it was like to be loved by a man such as him. She was drunk so it's dubious consent but he DID ask her if it was okay before he continued and she said yes multiple times before they had sex.

I didn't say anything about that. I was just saying that once he fell in love with her he said he would make her his. she was drunk she didn't ask to sleep with him lol she was about to go to sleep at that point but then he was the one who intiated the sex because that was his way of making sure she couldn't run away. and now he's holding it over her head like she pounced him and seduced him into having sex with her. I just thought the situation was funny.I wasn't saying anything else other than the minute he wanted her to be with her his motivation behind sleeping with her was to make her his.

no you're right. that night after she told him about his childhood and all that about it not being his fault unknowningly talking to the duke happened in the manhwa. and then he takes her to the mansion in the bedroom and she's like super drunk basically falling asleep and he's fallen in love and then he says

that he will make her his obviously implying by sleeping with her and she's like semicoherent (it's little ehh about consent and obviously not okay in real life but I'm not really talking about that anyway) and he says he will make her fall for him over and over again no matter what it takes. all I was really saying originally is that Ripley doesn't know that rather than she being the one who "stole" his first night he was the one who "stole" hers in order to basically leave her no choice but to be with him and she has no idea he's holding something over her head when he was the one who initiated it all lol

No, you're right. He is using his first night to kind of blackmail her. Not sure how far the manhwa is, but in the novel after Ripley tried to lie to the Duke about being a cripple and disfigured, he did confess that he knew she never wanted to marry (him or otherwise). He also admitted that he knew he was coming on too strong. He wanted to any means to make her his. (Also funny from his POV, when he first met her, he thought she was plain and normal looking. But after she drunkenly told him it wasn't his fault, everything about her suddenly sparkled and he ended up thinking she's the most beautiful woman in the world lol).
lol this scene was pretty interesting because he basically seduced her by taking off his cravat and then unbuttoned his shirt so she could get her fill before he kissed her senseless. At this point, she was still hesitant about her feelings about him.
but yeah, the Duke is yandere for sure. Luckily, the FL knows he's yandere from the novel so she never really pushes his buttons. Because of her, the ML softened a lot and isn't a big of a jerk as he could've been in the original novel.
the way the duke keeps using his virginity like she was the one who initiated the whole thing but he was the one who made sure they had sex just to make sure she couldn't leave him....like bro
