In the novel romance started after a 5 year time skip. Nina needs to end up with the king because Hayoon lee who currently possesses her body is literally the same age with the king. So if she ends up with other male leads like alec it would be more weird. This is story is not similar to "Abandoned Empress" where time rewinds. The current story is in no way related to the original. The Nina now is Hayoon Lee. A 20 year old office worker. Which is why it is perfectly fine for them to end up together because the novel hayoon read does not control her current story as nina.
its just a little bit icky how she's drawn so small in comparison to him (which i get since he's basically fully grown.). she looks like a child being carried by her father. :// it's more just semantics for me. i hope in the time skip she gets a full glowup, and doesnt still look like a 12 yr old.
True. The reason why I back this novel up so much is because of the 5 year skip. Without it.... things seem really weird
