Because they don't know his healing level, they only know that he put all his points into evasion.
So everyone is thinking that he's just a useless healer who's only good at evading.
Yeah but isnt it dumb to just assume and dont test? They didnt even ask him to show the healing skill or how many points he had in heal ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Well, he could've just showed them but he didn't.
Maybe he doesn't want to get the attention of the kingdom who chained up his friends.
No, when I said to show I meant show that he could heal decently.. and about tell how many points he used on healing... He could always just say the average of healers right?
But there aren't any healers, as far as I can remember, that he can compare his stats to.

I think it's kind of like the phenomenon that happens when a bunch of your classmates surround your closed class door. You assume the most basic thing--which is that someone tried to open it already--and disregard the rare--like someone just hanging outside their open classroom when class starts soon. When he realized they weren't good peeps, he just let them keep their assumptions. Which worked out well for him.
