I don't remember if it was an affair or a second wife, but according the spoiler I read she was born little before her sister and her father made believe his wife that she gave birth twins in order she take care of the girl... that is why she hates her and both girls and everyone think they are twins...
I don't know if this spoiler is correct, but that explain why she is so different of her sister and mom!
What I want to know is where is the baron in all this? I wonder if he doesn't know how his daughter is being abused!!
