I agree with you. I especially get annoyed when stories start to slow down a little or start focusing on one thing more than another, and people are like “I liked it in the beginning but now it’s boring”

While everyone is entitled to an opinion, those opinions don’t always need to be shared. Because behind every work, there is a human being, sharing a part of themselves in their work. And with a lot of these authors and translators, they are working on their own, so a lot of things take time to be created, so criticizing them is not helpful, and very cruel. In terms of a stories progression and character development, as the reader’s we don’t know what the author’s end goal is, we are just along for the ride. Sometimes the author needs to develop more aspects of the story before they can move the story along, because something down the line won’t make sense otherwise; which will make you bitch and moan. There is both wrong with giving constructive criticism or feedback, but generally should only be given when asked. Because like I said there is another person on the other side trying their best to bring something to light that they think others will enjoy. And to say that you don’t care if you hurt their feelings is selfish and childish.
