I don't think he would do that cause he has learnt that he can't just lock up people he likes just to keep them to himself. He didn't do that with Chloe why would he do it to his daughter. Plus Chloe would never let him,and he wouldn't do anything that would hurt her.
I'm not saying he would do it against her will. I mean that a baby or child would naturally need more supervision and more looking after than an adult (like Chloe). Alphonse cannot cage Chloe like he would like to, because he knows she wouldn't like that, and plus he respects her achievements as a person and her need for a certain degree of independence, but with a baby girl that can't really stand up for herself and needs him to protect her, these conditions are not present. He can spoil her and pamper her and protect her to his heart content, and be the only person in her eyes (aside from Chloe, of course) that's my point.

Lol, he already bought the entire stock of tea in the capital just because Chloe wanted it, and bought up a club from under its owner because they wouldn't let Chloe into it... and that was with her restraining him. I shiver to think what would happen with a girl that actually WANTS him to buy her stuff.
