If you read a lot of Japanese questions where they are asking for the opinion of another party, you'd notice they are always in the negative form...

Like, in english, you might ask "Shall we eat together?" If you ask it in Japanese, it would be in a form such that "Wouldn't you like to eat with me?" or "isshou ni tabenai ka?"

So in this aspect, "Kawaii janai kore?" you could think of it as "Is this not cute?!?!"

I asked a japanese friend, and it seems that this form is like a humble approach of japanese, where you expect you tend to be pessimistic, like instead of asking, would you like to eat with me, you ask, don't you like to eat with me?

Ahh wwww thank you for the correction! I think I might placed the words in reverse. I'm kinda sleepy while commenting. And yeah, my JP is not that good either ehehe.

    Once again thanks!
