To him it's no big deal, they weren't even her real parents, the mom was a DRAGON slayer. Also his goal is to be killed so he doesn't care if she hates him, he might even want her to. This is the way I think he views it, if we put ourselves in his position it's understandable
Yeah the emperor might be considered bad as a dragon killing tons of people but is it really THAT outrageous? I mean rarely have we seen dragons and humans get along in stories, also he was used and betrayed so he went on a killing spree, it's easy to understand him. I don't think it's something to be that outranged over, dragons kill, humans kill, dragons will kill humans and humans have literally wiped out his race, all I'm saying is to try see it a little more full picture, both sides aren't innocent and kinda suck ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
