The ML is the knight commander. He's sort of a ditz and becomes enamoured over the MC because of her bravery and sense of self preservation and determination. He keeps trying to get her to become a knight because his ideal woman is a someone who can fight beside him and has her kind of stubborn courage. MC has ZERO INTEREST in becoming a knight and refuses, but keeps getting dragged into things anyway. All the knights under the commander even start referring to her as his bride.
Irene is the usual transmigrated villainess who knows she's in an otome game and is trying to avoid the Bad End. She's just an ordinary Japanese girl at heart and just wants to have some girlfriends, but it's difficult because the three MLs keep friend blocking her. She becomes determined to be friends with the MC because the MC is so level-headed and direct. She grows to really admire and be inspired by the MC, because the MC is able to stay grounded even when crazy things have happened and that gives Irene the courage to be like her and try to stay grounded when facing the dangers that she knows are coming based on the original game the world is based on.
The MC also becomes close friends with Soren (the adoptive son of the royal mage). He's the usually trope of the super powerful mage who was rejected all his life because of his strange appearance (red eyes, silver hair) and scarily powerful magic, and so falls in love with the heroine/reincarnated-villainess because she accepted him/told him his appearance was beautiful. Soren is crazily obsessed with Irene to the point where his magic almost goes wild out of jealousy. The MC headbutts him to snap him out of it before he destroys things and basically drags him for being creepy in his love. After that Soren takes the MC (against her will) as his friend/love guru. It's PURELY platonic. Soren is still in love with Irene and doesn't even see the MC as a woman (he literally refers to it the first time as 'friendship between men'), but the MC becomes his first friend and the first person he's ever been interested in/cared about besides Irene and that helps him broaden his world and get rid of his obsessive mindset.
so she ends up getting paired with the knight?
