well aside from the extremely dubious consent in the first chapter, the rest (at least the seme’s attitude) is actually pretty close. he was very attentive to the uke’s needs, whether he wanted to do it or not, and asked periodically to make sure if the bondage/restraints were painful in order to properly adjust them. this is a short story and it’s not a guide by any means so it obviously doesn’t include everything you would see in terms of safety, aftercare, consent, boundaries and the like. but yeah, i’d say after chapter one it’s a pretty decent representation.

They play itself was in the hardcore end of the spectrum but pretty realistic.
However the consent was dubious, they didn't talk about limits before they began and they didn't establish a safeword.
That part is VERY unrealistic, unsafe and uncomfortable.
