dude there is just something so raw and powerful about the way Asami looked Akihito dead in the eye and said “I love you” with his last bated breath. i could see those emotions building up through the years, but i knew the moment it struck Asami was when he thought he was gonna die because he was surrounded by those guys and yet he still thought about the promise he made to Akihito. he sort of laughed at how ridiculous it was yet it was so obvious that after all this time of course he loves him. he wanted to let Akihito know that he did too, because it never seemed clear, was never professed and starkly written. but that moment, right in the middle of a crumbling building with bullets embedded in his skin, grazes and cuts all dribbling with blood and steadily draining his energy, he Asami wanted to let Akihito know. dude it hurts so bad, but those pages have been running through my mind all day and i just keep on going back to them, they’re full of so much emotion i can’t let go.
