Its actually not. Media, like yaoi, doesnt exist on an island. It's influenced by and influences society and vice versa. Therefore its crucial people speak up about what they like and what they dont. If you dont like reading the criticism, "just dont read it" ;)

Since, you know, this is a whole other universe in which this is not even a person but a whole other being whose sole purpose is to provide sex. Applying the rules of a human to something that is not just to sound woke is honestly not smart.
Just enjoy the story for what it is or leave if you don't and let others enjoy.

But in this story sex is a whole other issue, so, idk it's just coming here to blab about rape cause you have to, cause you can't not stay quiet even if the comment doesn't fit.
Cause you have to bring down everyone else that's enjoying the story, even tho they are the ones that can see and differentiate reality from fiction and that world from ours.

If the characters portrayed are human or not, doesnt change much either, bcs even if we would argue that it only matters what they think, in their own universe geumso's rape was still depicted as something bad, so i dont really know where u were going with this? However thats not a logically sound argument anyway, so the focus remains: while its a worl of fiction, rape is very real and portraying it in any way causes certain connotations in readers. And i am not even getting started on what a sad overused trope it is in yaoi.
