Well, because unlike other first years, Yamaguchi is not flashy or genius or tall or whatever and he has to struggle his way to be a regular player. Then he finds a way to be on court, even just for a little while, and he works hard to make those a little while on the court worthy. So Yamaguchi deserves much more respect and love, and it is only natural he is getting them :)

IMO because he's the epitome of 'hard work will get you places' and an awesome friend in general. And I love the fact that he's so stubborn and determine and resilient!! Also he's cute af with his freckles.
Is it only me or there're really more of Yamaguchi's fans lately? Well, Yamaguchi is cute, hardworker, and awesome.. especially he have pretty freckles.. But I still wonder what make you interested in Yamaguchi?
