Lolita the fashion and lolis are different. Both are different from Lolita the book. Lolita fashion is based off of rococo era style of dress and has many different subgenres. This dress though similar, would be considered cosplay lolita veacuse it shows too much skin.

Lol it can be but since there are so many genres it can take darker turns, such as goth or punk Lolita and even guro Lolita which is a much smaller subcategory. I like aristo/Lolita styles so aristocratic long flowy a line skirts that remind you of a merchant or nobles daughter
