I'm not a huge fan of the wife. I've read the spoilers from people in the comments but that still doesn't change the fact I don't like the wife. She should've told her husband he isn't ugly. Like, God. It seems she's more focused on staying married to a hot guy than helping him with his confidence. I know all about what happens in the spoilers still. I know she has a legitimate reason but still, I don't like her right now. I've seen a lot of comments expressing how they dislike the FL and I agree. The one thing I hate seeing in the comments is people saying "You shouldn't judge her in the first chapter." What the f#%!? Of course were going to judge her. We see her personality and make assumptions about it. That's seriously how it works. I judge people off the impressions I see. I received the impression she isn't a very good wife. So did I make my judgment off of that? Yes, I did. I can always change my opinion on her later on as time goes on. A lot of us don't know what happens in the spoilers so of course we'll think she's a b!%#*! You guys are the ones who need to stop responding to our opinions about her and going on about how were making unfair judgment. It's completely our own opinions. None of you have any right to go in and say that we can't judge her based on the first chapter. We'll judge by what we see. There isn't anything wrong with that! If you don't like the FL, Don't be ashamed to say it because people are telling you not to judge. We have every right to judge the characters as readers. It doesn't matter how many chapters are out. Don't respond to my comment with an argument because my opinion won't change just because you'll tell me not to judge on the first chapter. It isn't like us readers can delete the manwha, Why the hell is everyone so pressed about our opinions?

It’s very surprising to me that you’ve read the spoilers because it doesn’t seem this way. If you really have read the spoilers carefully you wouldn’t have had this opinion. Even though you say she has a genuine reason for not telling him about his beauty you yourself are negating it by saying that she should still tell him. I mean seriously. In the spoilers it’s clearly told that she can’t tell him because to everyone except her he really does look like a monster. She has tried telling him in the past that he’s actually beautiful but of course the husband won’t believe it because he himself sees that he’s a monster. She known him since she was young. She really does like him and she’s continued to help him so much ever since she came. He knows that and that’s why he wants to repay her by divorcing her because that way she’ll be free from the so called monster. She’s trying every tactic not to be divorced because she likes him and genuinely wants to help him. When he won’t believe her when she tells him he’s beautiful this is the only approach she can take without having him distance himself from her. Also it true she really liked his looks but it’s not the only thing she likes about him. Liking someone’s appearance doesn’t mean that’s the only thing likeable about them and clearly the female lead likes him overall not just his beauty. When’s you’ve personally only read 2 chapters hardly that don’t actually show anything about her circumstances and her true personality how can you judge her? It’s like you’ve only seen a person in real life once from a far but you’ve already judged them to be bad people when you don’t know shit about them and their circumstances. This is a story. You give it some time before you pass down judgement. Judging characters in 2 chapters especially when they don’t actually show anything is weird. This really ruins the author’s hard work. They must have worked so hard on this but people like you who aren’t really interested in reading the story and just berate it without giving it time or without trying to understand the plot and it’s characters just really spoils it all. You can have your opinion but don’t share it until you’ve read some chapters for yourself and actually try to understand characters because honestly just hasty opinion especially when negative ruin the whole reading experience for many.

I won't even bother reading this. I want to find out for myself what'll happen. All I know is that everyone else thinks he's ugly, She touched something to see his real face and etc etc. I specifically asked people not to respond to my comment with an argument / Whatever this is. Don't act like I'm ruining the read for so many people when I'm only voicing my opinion about how the female lead is so far. I got all of these spoilers from the comments here, None of them are that detailed so it's not enough to change my opinion. You seriously should've just kept scrolling. I don't need people like you telling me not to judge someone when it's just a manwha. This isn't even real. It's not like I'll offend the characters if I shit talk them. Like seriously. I'm not ruining the author's hard work either but not liking one character. I'm just saying what I think so far. Opinions can change. It's the people like you who attack others opinions that are the issue. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just happen to have the opinion of not liking the FL currently. You're really trying to make it seem like I'm judging a real person here. It's fake. It's perfectly fine if I judge the FL and dislike her based on what I've currently seen. You really should've just not responded. I literally specifically said not to respond with what you did. Did you not even bother reading that or?

I'm all for not judging something until I read/saw enough but this isn't always the same for everyone and we can't tell others how to think or to feel and what to do. Even though they could just have not commented at all the same applies to everyone defending the FL; you all could have just ignored that comment, moved on and enjoy the manhwa. And if they shouldn't comment on the first chapter, then should mangago make it that way that comment section is only open after 10-20 chapters or what? Why else is there a comment section乁( •_• )ㄏ

It is pretty normal for ppl for have assumptions or develop an opinion on a character even after one chapter and they have the right to do so. I'm pretty sure that most of the ppl who haven't read the spoilers in the comment section, read the novel or the raws themselves would feel that way. It is in fact a bad introduction to the FL and their relationship in my honest opinion!

I don't know why you are all so strongly defensive for a fictional character when their opinion of her won't hurt her or change anything to the story. Yes you can be annoyed that they judge her without knowing enough but painting them as someone soooo bad that they spoil the whole reading experience is a bit too far. The fact that you all (even the ones liking and defending the story) make such a drama out of it, that makes a bad negative experience. If they don't ask for an explanation then a simple "wait until the reason is explained. It gets better! Trust me I read the novel" would be enough

And as they have said, they are allowed to change their opinion. Just bc they said they hate her doesn't mean that they drop the series altogether or won't give it a chance.

Yes! Thank you. I definitely plan on reading more and having my feelings towards the FL develop more. I simply just stated my first impression on her in the first chapter wasn't that good so I dislike her so far. I really appreciate you defending me!

I mean everyone has the right to say what they want/think/feel in the comment section. It is there for a reason. And if necessary ppl can ignore the comment section

I just find it a bit strange that these ppl are angry at you and others who just stated they don't like the fl based on what they've read so far (even tho most know that they might need to read more) and have their own opinion on you guys bc of one comment. Ofc ppl are intelligent enough to know that there might be a reason and the FL might have more sides to her... But if the first impression is just this bad and strong, then others should expect this reaction. I mean I've read many Mangas/webtoon where there is only one chapter out and most comments were smth along the lines of "need to read more/waiting to see how it goes" bc most introductions aren't that stirring

No one is stoping them from sharing their opinion but to be negative about something from the get go when they’ve hardly read 2 chapters is wrong. People come to the comment section for critical discussion about the plot, not blind negativity. You do realise although it’s okay to share one’s opinion it’s not okay to ruin the reading experience of others especially right from the get go. Many people who are interested in the manhwa visit the comment section to get an idea about how the story goes but when they see comments like these that just berate the story uselessly from the get go when nothing has been revealed yet and when they’ve only read 2 chapters one of which was a short preview it seriously ruins the whole story for them. They either prefer to not read the story at all due to comments like these although in actuality the story can be very good or even if they do read the story they unintentionally have a biased mindset while reading it like “ People in the comments said the female lead is manipulative, then she must really be”. They perceive her actions that way when it’s obvious there is so much more to the plot. Many readers lack critical thinking and that’s exactly the problem. They take everything at face value and make hasty assumptions. If you don’t critically think about story plots and just take everything at face value then hold on a little before you make negative comments about the story. Don’t ruin the reading experience of others who’re actually interested. This ruins the author’s hard work in developing the story and characters because they obviously want people to see the true depth of their characters and not judge them at face value especially in the very beginning. It also pisses off people who’ve already read the story and love it but then they see negative comments from the get go when the plot has yet to be revealed. It’s a story. You give it time to develop. Either wait a little for the story to progress before you negatively comment because you yourself just took that at face value or even if you do want to comment in haste can’t you say something along the lines of “ the female lead so far looks a bit manipulative but I’m sure there’s more to the story. I can’t wait for it to progress”. Choosing your words carefully allows you to share your hasty opinion as well as not ruin the story for others.

You say that no one is stopping them from stating their opinion but here you are writing a whole essay explaining why they shouldn't do it. Just. Ignore. It. Or drown it with other comments my god.
So what if it's blind negativity? That first chapter was a horrible introduction to the FL and if there was a reason why new readers don't want to read the webtoon, it's surely not the comments but that one chapter.
Even if the comment section is supposed to be for a discussion, not everyone is discussing. A lot of ppl just state their opinion. I can't even count how many times I have read ppl hating on a character bc they (oh surprise) behaved like a badly. What? Is their comment wrong bc it's not a discussion? Are you gonna write another essay and say they ruin other experience bc they hate on a character? It's ridiculous to demand everyone to follow some rules you're talking about when not everyone is gonna do it. The only one who can talk about the plot are those who read the novel or seen the raws. Not to mention, that there are also the type of ppl who don't want to read spoilers bc it ruins their reading experience. Should spoilers be forbidden too since it could prevent ppl from actually reading the story?
Saying that one or some comments ruin your reading experience is your fault. You let those comments ruin your experience. If I like a manga/webtoon I don't care if a stranger on the internet doesn't like what I like.
Also, you expect ppl who have read the chapter to have critical thinking not to post their negative opinion bc it could affect new readers, when it should be those readers who should read first and then go to the comment section (and not expect much bc there are only 2 chapters out). If ppl aren't willing to read 2 chapters then the webtoon isn't for them. If there are more chapters and ppl know more about the characters and the story, the comments will change and new readers might be interested.

And as you said. It's just story. One where the English comments on this side won't change how the author has written the story. I don't get how you can be so worked up for a story that has only 2 chapters on this site but can't show any understanding on why ppl don't like the FL given the info they got. If they drop it, then it's their loss and if not, then they will change their opinion. Simple as that.
