the problem i have with this, is even the author themself has taken Ash's rape lightly post the conclusion of the series with these interviews flipfloping depending on the audience reception. It makes no sense for Ash given how his personality was constructed to willingly want to bottom as it directly correlates to the repeated violation of his body since childhood. It comes across as well Ash has already bottomed so he's just used to it as opposed to Ash would enjoy bottoming because it's his preference, so yeah that's his assigned sexual position now. Coupled with how Ash was either emasculated or feminized throughout the story it just comes across as insulting to what Ash has been through that "it would only make sense" post mortem to say such a thing. Especially when Ash and Eiji's relationship relied so heavily on the very fact their platonic love for each literally saved Ash from rock bottom multiple times, when sex put Ash directly there.
This is making my heart ache. I just remembered the anime.
Ps. But then again even though it's confirmed by the author that Ash is the uke, Eiji bottom and top Ash is still the best for me.
