Who is supposed to be the villain prodigy when Iris already have "memories of her past life", her smartphone, and 5 gorgeous dudes helping her out? She has many advantages against the people in her current timeline. Unless there's a twist where certain villains also managed to get their previous memories like Iris(like Villainess Lives Twice) but that's highly unlikely, also I don't really read spoiler for this webnovel so maybe it'll happen?
I like revenge stories that isn't too complicated. I mean I guess I can see how boring when MC gets everything her way but then again I also don't want unnecessary excessive drama lol.
Ugh, this is just poor character writing, The author is trying her damndest to make every villain irredeemable or stupid. Iris have too much luck going her way, try to make one of the bad guys at least a prodigy genius, and somehow able to throw Iris off her rhythm. Or twist it a bit by making one of the good guys turn evil or vice versa. Or have Marianne's mother not buying into her nice girl act, because she knows a two face suck up when she see ones.
Death Note is a good example. When L was able to get the gist that Kira had supernatural powers and tricked him into using it on a death-row convict and revealed the real L is alive and telling Kira he figured out how his powers work for the most part. Light was extremely shocked and I was blown away by his ingenious strategy.
Iris should have her own version of L.
The Japanese manga, for the most part, they make the villains intriguing and intelligent enough to know when to pick their battles, and sometimes even given a redemption arc. They actually feel like living humans with thoughts, feelings, and emotions, they weren't a one-dimensional character like the village in this webtoon. I gade this webtoon a C-. Due to not enough character development in the villains department. Sorry I love a story with a good villain
