Not sure what buff means but possible that the author wont like bara but kanou liked aya bc he helped him once but I'm sure everyone else won't like him that way if he was bara. I think kanou doesn't care how aya would look like but the author cared more and wanted the old top bottom relationship sorry my english is kinda bad ^_^
