Every family is different. Most probably he didn't want his child know his dad is gay and all the problem that comes with that!
He loves his child, but there is a stigma about being gay and he feels he could ruin his child future if people know his dad is gay!
So, like Harley Queen did with her daughter, he prefer be the nice weird uncle than the strange parent!

I was like what the fuck! Hold on. I went back and reread to make sure this guy didn’t just have a heart attack. Secondly is rei his child?! Cause in the comments they say he is. And one about how the mc is an asshole for not telling him. But im like it deals with both parties. The mother could have been ashamed or it was better not to bring it up. Ik some people are anger about that but im just saying its not that serious. In real life people who mothers act like aunts cause they simple couldn’t stand having their child and same about fathers. Sorry it was tgerw and I ranted again. But overall the story was sweet to me. I read. Worst......
