Yes but they did harm him, they were giving him a straw mat beating at the start of the story. I believe Seungho is going through some stuff, hes pnly just realizing how much hes changed since Nakyum that the people around him have noticed
I think hes not ready to accept it since hes been like that for his whole life and nakyum comes and he just automatically changes, hes nice and more happy. Since Seungho has changed servants and ppl people jealous of Nakyum have become worse towards Nakyum. I think in a way hes trying to protect both him and Nakyum
