ikr??? Like it's still gross. They grew up as siblings. Her entire goal was to be accepted by the family as a part of the family, as a sister. Being like "I like you romantically" really is just like a slap in the face saying "I never truly accepted you as a sister" unless they think incest is ok to begin with.
Like even today, adopted siblings or siblings brought in from your parent's second wedding are still considered your siblings. And if you're on good terms and consider them family, you'd still consider them family even if your parents divorced like???
