It is explained that the father doesn't want anything to do with them. I assume he hasn't told any of his family about his children or he's telling lies. Her family if I remember correctly "sold" her. (chapter 91 page 32 last bubble) I'm not sure if it was a miss in translation but it would explain why her family doesn't do anything.
The mother is not mentally prepared to acknowledge the fact that her daughter is dead is good that the mc took that boy alway from her she might keep trying to make him live as his dead sister that’s why he killed his mother he couldn’t take it anymore
