I actually had the same thought. Just because the girlfriend went out with Riku to get close to Arata and even came over to his house to fuck him, didn't mean he had to go along with that. He shoulda kicked her ass to the curb and told Riku what happened. He didn't have to sleep with her, or rather, he shouldn't have. It really turned me off from Arata. Before that, I'd been totally supporting him.

akira, or whatever his name is, didn't have to show his friend how that girl by sleeping w her. there are other ways, and if you're a true friend, even if you're in love w that person, you don't try to sabotage their relationship. but hey, it's a manga, and this crap happens. unfortunately, it happens in real life, too, but then that's not a best friend. best friends don't manipulate. i'm old, so of course i'll have the unpopular opinion, i'm sure lol
