I don't think so, I think it would happen more like: Nowa finds it weird that Airi didn't resister for mate, and tries to get him interest in that, but Airi isn't interested in that, then Nowa thinks he will get interested if he leaves and so. Nowa leaves, but Airi isn't happy at all, and maybe then he will go after Nowa or something like that
