I've never done otome games before, but my friend has done a fair number of them. She says that "villainesses" don't really exist in actual otome games, so I'm not entirely sure where that concept came from.

Yeah the only otome I can think of with a "villainess" character is Amnesia
is there really an otome these novels are based off of or is it just a made-up isekai thing?
always the heroine getting bullied and then exposing the "villain" at a ball to be with the crown prince
