The only reason he hasn't told Lami the story behind his hand is because it reveals his naivete and foolishness that even his father could foresee. He is traumatized yes, but ultimately ashamed by his gullible character. He was naive to believe in the goodwill of people, and to think the second prince wouldn't do anything severe. He will be Lami's (and their family's) downfall, I can see it.
