Actually, the movie and manhwa are based off a novel of the same name. You can find it on the Novel Updates website.
Manhwa follows the novel closely, but the movie takes some major diversions. The biggest difference is the portrayal of the 2 main characters. Novel/manhwa ML is a lot more aggressive and violent than movie, while novel MC is kinder
I see... So in the movie, the uke (I have to call him that since I don't remember his name) is a shy and gentle person while in the manhwa, he's just a normal guy who's acted like any other guys. He's kind of funny to me. While Lu Feng in the movie is aggressive and I don't know how his character will develop in manhwa.

Nah, movie uke is more cold and harsh. Novel uke is kinder, less confident and indecisive. For ex., (minor spoiler alert) novel uke never crashed his car into the seme after seme hurt uke's family. Instead, he just quietly left him.
On the other hand, novel seme was far more abusive than movie. The first movie especially really removed the seme's most violent actions, making the uke a lot less pitiable and understandable. So you can imagine how surprised I was when they included some of the sexual abuse in the second movie.
The novels are also almost entirely told in the uke's perspective. Imo, the uke's actor wasn't really good at facials and didn't do the character justice.
