Well everyone is human. I'm a fan of madonna, and she is arrogant as hell. But still i love her and her music. Stars are also human, why do we make them non human. I think fans should consider what they put them trough. I seen some docu's about the dark side of k-pop stars. Damm that is really heavy weight to carry to live your life like that. Or rather you do not live at all your just some shell for someone else to embodied. I don't know it just seems so silly to me. I wouldn't have cared if he had bashed someone head in. If a person deserves a fucking beating then give them a fucking beating.
Haha you sound patronizing. The question is not that easily answered. Imagine you're a fan of an artist and you discover that he rapes his kids every week. Would you keep supporting him? I won't and that's the mindset of many Korean people. They are just less tolerant than you are so beating someone is not okay even if the kid deserved it. And being young is not an excuse. When someone did something that's against their values, they stop supporting them. That's understandable
Of course everyone would agree that raping is wrong. That is really kind of non argument. I think people need to think more freely, because mine value doesn't need to be your value. But i still accept the difference between us and let you live the way you want to live your life.Well it seems complicated, but for what I see it cannot possible be healthy as society to keep thinking this way.
Mmm I used rape as an example for you to get my point. It was extreme because I wanted to be sure to use something that would trigger your values since you seemed to be okay with beating someone up if they deserve it. I am just saying that it's understandable to stop supporting someone who did something against your values. I am not implying it's right or it's healthy I am only explaining why I think it's not only a question of realizing what you put a celebrity through. But of course, I agree that people should show more tolerance for past mistakes in Korean entertainment.
Not sure if it's directed to me but I am not justifying that way of thinking. The consequences are problematic I said it. I am just saying that it's understandable like it's a logical way of thinking: someone goes against your values you stop supporting them. That mindset is not wrong itself but the lack of tolerance and the consequences (spreading hate) are problematic.

This is so dramatic nobody cares about what this man did in highschool. I mean I wouldn’t care what a celebrity did in Highschool.
