That may be sadly the truth but I think there were opportunities to "harm" enough him to the point where he wouldn't have dared to show his face again.
Sometimes you have to risk your life and freedom to scare off low lifes.
That psychotic Chaebol is a dumb human trash who is not invulnerable.
The characters were actually too guillable and too nice/soft to defend themselves.
There is the infamous Nut rage incident in Korean Air where little justice and compensation were served and then there is the imprisonment of Harvey Weinstein.
The way I see it Cho Hyun-ah almost served 10 years in prison but she got 5 months instead, you can made her actions public in the media and many people are pissed at her. That humiliation and being under the public scrutiny shows you can make consequences possible.
Harvey Weinstein is an extreme case that I would not consider for comparison tbh. But I agree with what you've said and the consequences are definitely plausible, but they can continue their lives despite severe repercussions (i.e. financial) while their reputation may take a hit. They still have the means to continue living, even if there is public scrutiny. It's terribly unfair, but people like those likely have no sympathy/empathy to look back on their actions and feel remorse. I doubt they'll lose sleep over it, and it's kind of infuriating to think.

So the psycho bitch stalker just gets easily away with everything....
And his older brother Jihye is so powerless against him and is only capable of being mean to the MC/Uke/ Soo Hwa...
I am so mad!
