This is fiction! Not real life. A man can rule with another man by his side in fiction. It doesn't have to be anything like real life. Wolfgang can marry Shin and live a happily ever after. It doesn't have to be all drama like the real world.
But the world they live (author made) is not like that. The bloodline needs to be furthered
he still doesn't have to have queen...right? i mean concubines exist in this world so the bloodline could be continued without a queen.
He needs one, a queen doesnt only produce an heir but helps in the management of the palace so the king can focus more on the political stuff
