For sure it's going to be complicated
Kinda disappointed that she was able to hide from everyone for at least 7 years or so but then gets found in one random day, is there something else going on?
If I understood it correctly - her mom is of a group of people who are forgotten as soon as they die. Therefore as soon as her mom died - the king forgot about her.
Her mom was his lover. He had to leave her for whatever reason, and didn't know she was pregnant. He found out she was dead so he never returned to that place, not knowing that his kid was there. For some magical reason, she can see her mom’s memories. So she knows of him the from that- but he had no idea of her existence till now
