I was afraid of that too but judging from the author twitter and her retweet, GS probably will terribly injured which appears to me make sense. The reason is that he had once beheaded the ghostly monster once and the author will not let him beheading him again because he will be overshadowed San and also the storyline started off being that GS is a very strong or powerful character, he must somehow retreat from that presumption as he is not the mc, so getting him injured badly is the best way to maintain his position and let San to end what it supposed to.
