Alright idk if you are actually paying attention, but they said multiple times that mc never had friends other than that girl that went drinking with them. "White hair dude" is probably his first friend other than that girl. Plus, that scene in the library when white hair "[proceeded] to touch him in a weird way" was not in a weird way. Lots of friends tease each other like that. Please don't respond if you are not going to be open minded about my opinion.
I agree that mc is a bit oblivious, but not stupid. You guys think that mc is stupid because you are the reader, you know whats going on. It's like watching a horror movie and knowing that the monster is behind the door, and when the mc goes into the door calling them stupid. You know whats going on, but if you were in their situation, you would open the door too because you don't know whats behind it.
It s always annoying, how MCs can't see or understand, what is going on. And after some incident ll be like 'i didn't notice', 'i thought of him only just as friend', 'i d never expected he d do something like that'.
