I'm kinda peeved that after the previous empress built such a close-knit relationship with the people around her, she was just pushed aside and replaced by a normal woman from the modern age. I'm a sucker for close relationships and she fought back to back with these people for ages and now a completely different women reaps all her gain, while the others accept it as shes changed back. It doesn't even make sense how a modern woman would know how to rule a kingdom. In every reincarnation story the characters adaptability is too abnormal, it's like they died and they're all oh I reincarnated then lets go after the duke. In this one I get that she has an edge by reading the novel but no novel goes so deep into detail that she should have figured the characters personality down flat. I would have been more interested if the previous empress tried to break out of her dug issue herself, the novels plot wasn't even that big like it was a corrupt queen who was overthrown by her close aid the end.

I gotta agree I mean he goes on about how much he loved and trusted her in the battlefield but then he becomes discouraged after his expectations were denied by the current her (the tyrant). A lot of plot holes that contradict how strong the people around her are and how strong their bond was. To the point their bond doesn't seem real at all, just words so his feelings also seem shallow since we just read into this story with it saying straightout he loved her so much and was grieved by her death. Maybe if I can see some real connection between them or her past memories maybe they had some compatibility but still don't like the reincarnation aspect

honestly i dont think there was anything he couldve done to save her.
she had (possibly) war ptsd, drug addiction, terrible advisors, and a lack of care of lives (u saw how she was in the first chapter when they came to kill her)
she was also an empress so him arguing with her to stop drugs or killing or other opinions could have thrown him in jail or gotten him killed for treason
it took years of her putting hundreds or thousands of lives in danger for him to give in and rebel against her
hes my favorite guy for her so far (and only one i would want to be in a relationship with her)

He could've prevented her from getting to that point, if he truly loved her he should've stayed with her. When he went on about her strong figure it seemed like he only admires or respects her. When she became the ruler I would like to believe that she put the people she trusted most and the ones that fought alongside closest to her. And especially when ur in war, a commander needs to know how to delegate duties to each and everyone accordingly so when she failed to notice the Duke's uselessness and corruption it undermines the fact that she was a great leader and valiant figure. Again her friends were around her and none of them really did anything to stop the corruption or her being manipulated. As for the PTSD, I have thought of that but if you think about it none of the others had much remorse from the war. Plus, she had the powerful aura thing going for her so I doubt she got hurt badly but if it relates to her killing people, she seems too strong of mind to let that bother her now after everything has passed, there's a possibility but still... Also it seems she might not have taken the drugs voluntarily, the duke put it in the wine, I guess, so it all ends up to what were her supposed strong and trustworthy comrades doing in all this. Your telling me the inept duke managed to fool them all, even a magician. Sure she persecuted them and exiled them but couldn't they have done something before it got to this point and snuffed out the corruption in their own kingdom before or after taking the throne. The others already accused the duke so shouldn't he have connected the dots instead of accusing her of changing and betraying his glorious image, his trust was shallow for someone that says he loves her and has been with her through thick and thin.

Again the relationships in this one feel very shallow. I can't picture her with anyone especially now that she is reincarnated. At most I would go for the glasses guy, because he seems pretty unconcerned with the situation and doesn't feel the need to bow down and respect her. I would like to see her get over that hurdle and see the exact process.
