It is complicated. The body that was used was the one that was presumed to have killed the white haired guy's mother. But that is not the case. He didn't kill anybody rather he saved them, so the white haired guy's mother is alive. The white haired guy actually liked the main guy not the body. If you read it, you will understand. It is really interesting.

Reading the novel.... I just found out that the main character xie lanshan died when he was saving a girl from being raped. His memories was transferred into the brain of his current body that is why he couldn't recognise his face when he checked the mirror. But because this body looks like his original body no one suspected, only the mother suspected. Omg..... I am shook....
