So i am not so sure myself anymore but as far as I know they don’t have a blood relation. I understood it that way that there are three royal elf houses which always „fight“ for the throne. As she want to win this time for her house that’s why she’s so uneasy about loosing. Also the other elf there whose nagging her all the time is of the other royal house and niro was of the last one which they thought like didn’t exist anymore?
yup, it's 3 different troyal bloodlines, usual certain bloodlines have special stuff to them which in this case would make them able to qualify for the throne?
at least Niro is from a different bloodline than Tirasu because if I remember correctly Tirasu's family was in trouble of losing their position due to not having had any queens on the throne for a long time (?)

in the start there were 3 elves of the royal bloodlines, one dropped out and the green haired one and Tirasu were left.
the green haired one and the drop out could be sisters? idk about that anymore but I think it would be weird and quite impossible for Niro's mom to bear a second child (that would have probably had to have been Niro's age? to apply for the school?)
