Σ( ￣□￣||) Oh gosh, you are so right. So that's why I felt a little disturbed by it. They should have put this manga in 'tragedy' genre. Tragedy is not really my cup of tea so that's why I can't really get into it (〜￣△￣)〜

this is actually the kind of manga where even though you know it's a tragedy and it's sad,you'd still read it because it's just beautiful. I'd still watch the anime even despite the ending~!!I feel contented with the ending because if the author still continues this even though kaori died already,I have a feeling that the alternate ending will be where he ends up with tsubaki or Arima will live a short life because of depression because we can see that even up to the last chapter,the last smile and expression he gave was that of someone who has given up on living.
