Im not disputing that. I’m complaining about the virgin/ whore dichotomy we see in heteronormativity as it generally applies to the BL genre. Unfortunately it’s more skewed to semes being allowed sexual freedoms while ukes are not. That doesn’t mean there are not outliers where this is in fact the opposite as you’ve pointed out. But choose any random BL and the likelihood is you are more likely to see just as I’ve stated. It’s ingrained in sexist ideology overall. It wouldn’t matter if I attributed it to one sexual role over the other, but it’s rather because one sexual role denotes masculinity and the other femininity in much of the genre despite it being two men in a relationship. The characters and their roles are still subjected to the stereotypes and constraints of conservative gender roles and performance. So narratives continues of the virgin/whore with no woman even in site.

It’s also in general a stupid way to denote “love” when just has one character prioritizes hedonism and the other chastity and equate they’re equal to one another in conclusion. When one is clearly self indulgent until it’s “rewarded with an untouched prize” and that’s been the thought process of men since the dawn of time. So the irony of women loving this particular trope as they’re often subjected to constraints of it is just for a lack of better words ironic.
