If guys from that time saw guys from nowadays they would think the same as you "i wish they were bald, would be more handsome" , fashion changed through history and in this case chonmage was a status symbol cause samurai used the hairstyle to keep their helmets in place, after a while they sort of became a rule around the country with no facial hair as well
I wish they were not bald cuz theryre so handsome if they had hair it will be another bonus
