Well I think he chose Lune to go back to normality and reality. Beside she must have reminded him of himself since she was the wife of the ringmaster. Leo was my goal too but i liked how the story turned out :)

but i suppose Lune reminded Michel of Leo since they said the same thing
but Leo was there at the circus anyway T__T amybe the fact that he was there is a hint that there can be a possibility for them

I know that it's one of her older works but.. well, I loved the beginning, it sucked me in but I felt like it could have taken a whole different story. and why Lune when she only popped up in the manga towards the end? Leo was my goal.. I really really wanted them to end up together. Everything was great at the beginning and the middle but when it was going towards the end.. it .. ugh. Oh and I love the artist's art style (:
