one can enjoy yaoi/BL and not label themselves as a "fujoshi". I am an MxM literature addict but i never identify myself as a fujo because I equate it with toxic, screeching fans who fetishize gay people.
to answer the question, yes men, women, anyone reads/can read yaoi/BL. This girl must be an edgy 14 year old or something. No one should be upset if one enjoys something because its not their business, thats it.

its just like reading any other hentai or smut story. most of the time when ppl downgrade fujoshis, they are talking about the girls who go nuts over it and obsess over gay couples. for example, they’ll ship any two guys (either fiction or real) together just so its gay. thats where its crossing the line. personally, i read all kinds of romance and smut, regardless of the characters’ genders/sexualities, so thats why i dont label myself any term, like fujoshi, since im open to anything. some mlm and other ppl are uncomfortable with bl/yaoi because they say its fetishizing. it honestly just depends on how the reader treats it. just do whatever you want, just know when to not cross the line. :)

Ik this is a very popular manga so I have some few questions. I saw a TikTok where a girl said that if ur a girl and u read yaoi it’s disgusting and that makes you a Fujo. I’m a girl and I read yaoi/BL. I always figured that men and women and others, read yaoi too? I have never seen a mlm be against girls reading yaoi.
