Exactly as you said. I might end up dropping it if this keeps bothering me. I think the story itself is pretty interesting though (ships aside) so I’ll probably continue reading it for a while longer.
Telling others to drop a story cause they don’t like the canon ship is mad dumb. If they decide to on their own that’s their thing but telling them to is like?? Like who are you?? Lol
If you actually like the story and want to support the author then you wouldn’t encourage others to drop it smh. You did your part of letting them know the story won’t go the way they want it to and you can leave it at that. Whether or not the decide to drop it after that isn’t up to you at all.

5 years isn’t that big of deal. I’ve definitely shipped characters with larger age gaps before. It’s not a problem so long as nothing happens till both people are of age.
But my goodnessssss. Y’all might disagree with me on this but I just can NOT like the idea of them together.
I can’t even put into words exactly why but this guy is seriously grossing me out. He’s just kind of..,, ew. Yeah just ew. The way he behaves feels yuck.
Idk like he’s definitely not an AWFUL person and I would be able to ship him with the saintess if the 2 of them started to like eachother. But I really can’t bring myself to ship him with Nina. I saw the spoiler a few chapters ago that he’s probably gonna end up with her so I’ve been trying to open my heart up to it but I canttttttt it just feels so gross but I can’t even explain why.
I’d ship her with the knight (who’s definitely at least like 4 years older than her) but her and the king together just feels wrong.
