If I remember correctly, someone wrote in the comments that at some point Ian is gonna leave, and then I guess Raymond will finally realise his mistakes and that he loves him, and he'll break off his engagement to the princess and follow Ian or even escape with him idk. Sorry if it's not that accurate, it was a long time ago that I've seen that one comment ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Much later after this, Raymond is going to experience the life and feeling of not having Ian in his life. It will force Raymond to choose. Now, Raymond is only dragging Ian along because he knew Ian would never leave him.
