Maybe, but I doubt it to be honest. If anything I think he just wanted to be friendly with her before. I’m the novel it states he sent her the potion to console her, but I don’t think it was because he had feelings for her.

If you read more recent chapters he does a lot of thing to get away from her cause he thinks that way the potion will go away but that doesn't change a thing, he do everything he can for her months after he took the potion and even risk his life for her, no Mather what he does he think of her and wants to protect her, is not like this kind of love that u see in this chapters, is a more mature and pure love, and he realizes is because he loved her even before the love potion ╮(￣▽￣)╭
