I love this manhwa, i really do but for the past few chapters one issue kept bothering me: Aerum and Oakjae. I know that Aerum isn’t perfect, hell he is disrespectful and selfish but that still doesn’t mean he has to be treated like this all the time. If Aerum was as selfish as everyone claims than I don’t think he would do anything he actually doesn’t want to do. But instead he listens to everything Oakjae says, agreeing with all her wishes and getting nothing in return. I don’t mean nothing as he never enjoys anything they do, bc he clearly does but his own wishes are always dismissed. He wants a blowjob and a normal sex. I’m not saying that Oakjae has to force herself to do the things she hates but to some extent that’s exactly what Aerum is doing. Oakjae reminds me of her past boyfriend. He used to threaten her with being beaten up but now Oakjae threatens Aerum with leaving him. Another issue for me was that Oakjae never looked as happy as when she was dating Yoonki. Hell, her smile there was what interested Aerum but now she never smiles and it makes me wonder whom did Aerum fell in love with? On one side there was an abusive boyfriend, on the other there was a cheating bf/sex friend and out of all of them the one who was least shitty gets treated the worse. Aerum is dumb and childish, in a way he is similar to Minhee in his “selfishness” (though I didn’t witness it as selfishness for a long time) but they are treated completely different. Yes I understand that at the beginning Aerum said rude things and made fun of people but everyone can change given the right lesson. I think his lesson was to get his arm broken and I feel like he changed a bit. Hell, he even apologized to Minsuh when he first saw her next. And still he is treated like he never changed at all. I don’t like it. I want Aerum to do as Oakjae demanded him to do and read more books, educate himself and get to know himself better and then leave Oakjae bc he deserves better. Oakjae might need him bc “oh when will I ever find someone as obedient as him?” But Aerum could find someone better. Hell, if he liked anal so much he could maybe experiment with boys idk. I just want to see him get treated better...
