I was hoping that the queen had passed away before the emperor got Estrella's mom pregnant. I hate it when I'm supposed to like a guy who isn't faithful. Maybe if they explain that the empress and he are in a political marriage where they are platonic friends who only had kids out of obligation and the emperor developed genuine feelings for Estrella's mom, then I'll think he's great. But, as it is, I feel like the kids of the empress should be a bit disappointed in their father. Is it too much to ask that the royal male in a comic be monogamous? At the very least let the empress have a side fling too. That way it's fair. I hate double standards where the women are monogamous but the men get to sleep with whoever they want and no one says boo. (/TДT)/
it already explains that the queen was fine with him having a lover, right? a lot of marriages are political so maybe they both had other lovers? i don't really know
