The genre is literally slice of life,
It'll obviously be slow pace and can't expect her to give birth become a loving mother before they get married, she's not ur typical strong fl, and that's fine

Oh my. This soul reaper thing made me laugh. I imagined weird things.
The author hasn’t given either character room to show any more personality traits than a really stiff woman and a somewhat naively forward man. There have been plot reveals of difficult relationships to deal with, but the most dynamic we’ve seen the FL is her being caring toward the niece and overly standoffish to the ML. We see that each lead has an opinion on this relationship based on their own experiences with their own families, but we don’t get a lot on the feelings. I know it’s written as thoughts but the story telling is weak for this stiff atmosphere to have lasted over 20 chapters my dude. The author is focusing too much on giving the FL admirers to focus on more subtle character development
The FL is so bland and the ML is like, so one dimensional right now? I think I wouldn’t have even marked this to get notifications if The development in chapter 27 wasn’t posted yet...
