I think this is kind of a straightforward situation. She's raised her son away from that gut for 6 years and doesn't want him to be a part of her child's life. She doesn't want his support and she doesn't want anything to do with him in his future. While I think she was wrong in telling her son that his father was dead, I think she has the right to live her life separately from him. I also think that the father needs to work on his stigma that kids absolutely need to have specifically a two parents and that because she had a kid that happened to be his it must be because she loves him despite it being a hookup 6 years ago. I know plenty of wonderful single mothers and to think that it's love after a single night together is something that I find is very odd.
