So what happened at the end was he was thinking of the illusion of him waiting, but he had turned into a zombie so he shot him saying " these last words are our epitaph" Because he wanted to believe that Caleb had not turned. Trust me I was crying. Because this is truly sad as a ending.

Thats is sad , but im confuse a bit . Was caleb was an illusion in his eyes when he was still smiling on the bed or did caleb really did wait but turn zombie but still didn't die???? .
